Helgeån runs through a varying and beautiful landscape, and is surrounded by leaf trees and beach meadows, with a rich and varied flora and fauna. The river holds approximately 20 different species of fish, of which the most common are pike, chub, burbot, roach, rainbow trout and brown trout. The protected fish, wels, Sweden’s biggest freshwater fish, is to be found in the river. In Delary Dammsjö you may find pike-perch, which is a popular sport fish.
